My computer crashed and my factory image(D) erased. Now I can't reinstall programs and drivers that came with the computer. I have the System recovery discs but how do I reinstall the factory image(D)? I have a HP computer.

Hi teedoff_99
Have you set the boot sequence in the BIOS to 1: CD/DVD and 2: The HDD?
Depending on your brand of BIOS you will find the method "how to" at the attached link;
http://www.hiren.inf...bios-boot-cdrom please note that I am not suggesting that you use any other product or service available there.
Let us know how you get on or if you require any further assistance.

On the 23 October you started this thread
http://www.geekstogo...__fromsearch__1

You responded just once with this

I followed the steps and there was only the purple recovery folder nothing else. How does a full factory image drive effect the computer? Is it something I should be concern with?

I posted a comprehensive reply on the 24 Oct regarding the recovery partition - factory image., to which you have NEVER responded.

Instead you then on the 28 Oct start this thread, which is on the same issue.
You are welcomed to GeekstoGo.
Do not worry about it now, but for your future guidance please do not start a NEW thread on the same issue.

Thank you.
