I have an Asrock motherboard but it doesn't support SATA 3. I didn't want to buy another motherboard so I went and ordered an Asrock SATA 3 Card. This card is great and all but I'm only getting half of the speed advertised on the SSD, which is the Corsair Force Series GT 120 GB. So I'm just wondering, is there a card that would give me a speed of 500MB/s for both reading and writing?

Here are links to the sata 3 card and the ssd:

Thanks.

Actually, the key phrase on the specification is "With ... read speeds of up to 555MB/s".
It does not mean you will get 555MB/s.

What is your motherboard model please?
