Hello, im running windows 7 64 bit with RADEON HD2600XT/ 256MB/ Dual DVI card
this is no new situation, but every once in a while when:
1. im accessing shared folders from other computers in our house network
2. i try to go into the Personalize desktop
3. or just out of the blue
the computer crashes giving blue screen and dumping memory into disk 100 message
and sometimes on reboot it, screen wont show anything and pc give 1 long beep and 2 short, and you can sometimes see really fine fine sort of waves moving around on screen
which makes me think its the video card
thank you for any help

Hi abulele and :)
You need to provide information about your computer, this includes is it a laptop or desktop, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP if it is provide the model name or series number (not serial) providing these details will enable others to better assist you.
At this point you may be correct that there is a video card issue, provide the requested details and we can take it from there.

Lets see if we can get some temperature and voltage readings;

Download Speedfan and install it. Once it's installed, run the program and post here the information it shows. The information I want you to post is the stuff that is circled in the example picture I have attached.If you are running on a vista machine, please go to where you installed the program and run the program as administrator.

(this is a screenshot from a vista machine)

Are you comfortable working inside your computer, you may need to clean out the inside and remove and reseat both the video card and the Ram.

Sorry can you post the actual screenshot of the readings as shown in my previous reply;

To capture and post a screenshot;
Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload...
then after typing in any response you have... click on browse...desktop...find the screenshot..select it and click on the upload button...then on the lower left...after it says upload successful...click on add reply like you normally would.

Temps look ok but the +12V is showing a very low reading (see table below) and needs to be double checked using HWMonitor http://www.cpuid.com.../hwmonitor.html again please post a screenshot.

Temps and voltages are shown as ok in HWMonitor but keep a check on the +12V, can you now stress test your video card with Furmark;
http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ these programs can be uninstalled when you are finished with them.

EDIT: Please run HWMonitor again after running Furmark then post a screenshot so we can check the 12.61V reading.

Run Furmark, if the card is failing it may crash but if it doesn`t let us know the result, then run HWMonitor again if the testing is successful and post the screenshot.
