Now that my system is running again. I was able to find and install a MARVELL RAID utility which I installed. Here are the status screens showing the physical and virtual drives:

I'm wondering if I'd be better off moving my system image to a single non-RAID drive.

yep

Is it possible to move my existing image over to another drive without have to reinstall everything??

yep...HDClone Free Edition 4.0.7...here
there are other free cloning software out there but HDClone is the one I use and familiar with

So does this sound right? I noticed when running CHKDSK from the dos prompt, that my existing RAID setup appeared to have two partitions one with the WINDOWS setup files, and the other with my C Drive on it. If I clone the disk will I be copying the physical drive or the virtual drive? and will it copy the windows system file partion as well?

Assuming everything on the physical drive is copied, I imagine I'd clone my existing drive(s), remove them, install the new drive, boot off CD and then restore the image on the new drive?

cloning the C drive will be a bit for bit clone...it will be exactly like the old physical drive...after you have cloned the drive just unplug the old drive and plug the new drive to the same controller that the old one was connected to then boot up...play with the system for awhile...happy...then go into the bios to remove the RAID array...you can then wipe the other drive (drive 8 I think) and use it to store backups
