I just got a job on campus at school and this computer is infected w/ spyware. The former student assistant used IE and I think this is where everything came from. Ad-aware and spybot didn't do anything.

Here's the HijackThis! log:

I'm working on your log.
I'll just check my reply with the experts and will get back to you in a while.
Thank you for your patience ;)

Btw, what kind of symptoms/problems do you have on your PC?

Hi again.

Please check that you have all critical updates on your computer from Windowsupdate.

Please first re-install HJT to an permanent folder, such as C:\HJT. This is important, because then your HJT can save backups if necessary.

If you could,
please do this with your SpyBot (in order to use the new one), if you are currently using version 1.3.

1. Undo immunization
2. If SDHelper and TeaTimer are enabled, deactivate them first.
3. If Opera Browser is installed, de-select protection for Opera Immunity
4. Uninstall old version of Spybot S&D
5. Reboot

After this, download & install the new release from this link;

Then, please uninstall your current Ad-aware, you might have an old version of it running too.
Use the Add/Remove programs list, uninstall Ad-aware from there.
After this, go to the location where you installed the program. (Default location; C:\Program Files\Lavasoft)
Delete any leftovers you might have there.

After this,
download and install the latest build from this link;

Run a scans with both of the software, please do use the same settings you have used earlier.
(For Ad-aware, when you choose to perform Full System Scan, and deselect "Search for negligible risk entries" - setting, be sure to use "Search for low-risk threats" - setting.)

Remember to update both. Remove any problems they might find.

After this, please download and install Clean Up.

Don't run it yet.

Use at least two of these free online scans here;
- Trend Micro
- BitDefender
- Kaspersky
- Jotti Virusscan
- F-secure

After you have done this all, please run Cleanup. Confirm with "Ok" or something similar when it prompts you to reboot to finish the cleaning.

Once your windows is loaded, launch HJT, and click "Do a System Scan and save the logfile". Post that scanlog here. We'll continue with HJT when you have posted the new log.
