sorry if i,m not posting in correct forum but plzzz help me.my system continueous crash and many time i install,formate windows xp.but again virus,trojans return from hidden files even from the data i already uninstall from my hd. now i,m sick of it and want any nice softwear to completly erease,wipe my hard disk,repartetion it and reinstall the xp.so i can play my games or doing other works.is it posible?is any good softwear available by which i can give new birth to my hd which is sufferings from many viruses,trojans etc?if so plzz guide me..thanks in advance.plz reply early.....before i through my pc into dustbin

soooooooo sorry for late reply my pc again hang and window crush when i reinstall it give error in installing some imp drivers,any way i read pdf help i got that cleaning process is require at least 12hr.i,snt it?but i live in such an area where power failure of electricity is very common so its impossible for me to use my comp not more then 3,4 hrs continuosly.can you pleas guide me for some nice fast wipe software or any best firewall or antivirus.as my windows fire wall not working and cant install any antivirus.hope you can understand my problem and forgive me for late reply thanks in advance

I suspect that you have some malware on your computer causing issues that we are not able to solve through means we can use here in the Tech Forums. I suggest you read the 'Start Here' topic found here. With these self-help tools you have a high chance of fixing the problems on your own. If you are still having problems after following Step 3 of the guide, continue with Step 4 and 5 and post in the Malware Forum. If you are unable to run any programs, Please create a topic stating what you have tried so far and that you are unable to run any programs. Also, Please do NOT post the logs in this thread.

If you are still having issues after the malware expert gives you a clean bill of health, Please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

The log that you post here cannot now be seen as malware information is not permitted outside of the Malware Forum, thank you for understanding and please provide the Malware Techs with a link to this topic so that any steps that you have taken already can be checked.

There's no need to contact to any MALWARE FORUM. It may remove your malware, but will not give you permanent solution (as you said, you always face this kind of problems).
First, insert XP CD. In the begining, it will ask you in which drive you want to install OS. There you will see available options to partition your HD. Delete all your partitions, and create new partitions again and install fresh OS.
After that, install a good antivirus. If you want a free one, I would suggest AVAST Free Edition. You should update your AV regularly.

Yes the infection could be something that is reinstalled during a backup that is causing the issue. Cleaning the system now and doing a fresh backup is the correct answer to the issue. Just from the description given the issue is obviously something in the backup files that is causing the issue. Have the system gone through by the malware experts and then do a fresh backup. Then get rid of any bad backups you have and do a new backup.

Sandman this advice is counter productive to what GTG stands for. Reading the original post you can see the following:

which indicates either a hidden infection in backups being used to restore files or the standard format is not working correctly and more drastic steps need to be taken to secure the hard drive as clean. Only a malware tech can decide that at this time and the steps advised below is the only way to make sure.

Hardan, you are indeed infected, and you do need to follow Phillpower's advice and go to the Malware forum. If you don't make sure all the files you're backing up are clean, you're going to continue to get reinfected. However, I believe there are other reasons that you're getting infected as well. I see this line in your log: C:\Documents and Settings\akko baby\Desktop\Recover My Files 4.5.2.608.+crack. The use of cracks and keygens to bypass paying for software is a sure path to infection. Most of the time, these are infected and simply spread malware to the people who use them. That is one file that will be removed during the cleaning process, and I would strongly advise you not to use cracks and keygens in the future, as you'll simply get reinfected. If that's one of the files you restored after reformatting, that may be one of the reasons you're getting reinfected.

Sorry SARI and RRSHAFER, you didn't understand me. I told to fully erase and repartition again. Deleting the full partition and creating Partitions using low-level format is the only solution. Of course, I respect the Malware Tech, they can surely remove the virus. But you can't give guarantee that he will not be infected after a few days? can you? As far as I know you're not Malware Techs. There's a real problem in any of his partitions hidden very deep. So to get rid of doubt, follow my instructions ASKER.

And also the asker wants to repartition his HD, so my solution will be good for him. In fact, it's the main reason why I told him to try my solution.

You might want to get your facts straight before posting. I graduated from GeekU, teach in GeekU, and am a GeekU admin. I think that qualifies me as a malware tech. Looking at the infections present on his PC, he's not getting reinfected because of something hidden deep in his partitions, he's getting reinfected either due to unsafe browsing habits or because he's restoring infected files that reinfect the PC. If he has infected files, a low level format, repartitioning, and reformatting will do nothing to help him if those files are restored. I will make this request one more time: do not contradict the advice given by me and other staff members.

To follow up no I am not a malware tech but I work very closely with our Malware Techs and admin. I hav leaned to spot potential reasons for some of these infections and very seldom and I am wrong. I did state the reason as being the potential reinstallation of data in backups as being the possible culprit and a complete wipe of the hard drive will do nothing to clean the backup if it is infected. It would be better to clean the infected system and then do a fresh backup of the healthy system guaranteeing the reintroduction of the infection to be nullified.
The key is the backup data I'm sure.

As I saw before, the Malware Techs were marked as "Malware Tech" in their profile descriptions. As it was not in your case, I thought that you are not Malware Tech, you were marked as something "Grammar Department Admin"
As in other tech fourms, I thought that any user who knows the solution/ideas may reply to the asker, then the asker would decide about his steps. But I never knew that GTG replies is allowed only for PRO TECHS. So I'm sorry.
