Outlook 2003 working fine for years....and on my new lap top for the past three months. No issues. Today - it will NOT open. I get a screen with this warning:
Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open Outlook Window. The set of folders could not be opened. The server is not available.

I use this from home, but only my work related emails with a foundation.

I also use Windows live mail for personal use - no issue with this at all.

I have tried different suggestions from searching the web...nothing seems to work or is specific to Outlook 2003 and Windows 7. Thanks in advance. Oh, and keep it very simple...as I am not a techno expert. :help:

I also started in safe mode, nothing.
I restarted the computer several times, nothing.

If your Outlook application can't start then it could be due to reasons like PST oversized issue, virus intrusion, accidental deletion, corrupt PST files and others. In such situation you can opt PST repair tool to repair and restore your corrupt or damaged PST files.
