My video card has been acting funny lately and i am looking into getting a new one i recently have a gforce 9800 low power consumption card, i was at best buy and while looking around i found this card and was wondering how much of an upgrade it would be, they had it marked down (or so the price sticker said) from 179.99 to 89.99 said it was a clearance i am on a budget so if this is a half decent card maybe i will scoop it up.

I mainly watch movies/tv shows on my puter and play some facebook games along with World of Warcraft

Any advice would be appreciated even if you have some advice on other cards

Hello,

It depends on which 9800 card you currently have. Take a look at the chart to see what sort of upgrade:

However for your needs I think the GTS450 would be plenty fine.

Cheers
