gmail and youtube working separately

Okay since youtube and google have joined together I am having trouble.

I have a gmail account for my emails. And a hotmail account for youtube.
Now when I sign into gmail, it signs me out of my original youtube account and into a new gmail youtube account that i dont want.
And when I sign into youtube with my original account it logs off my gmail. So i have to constantly log in and out to use either one.

What can I do?
Only thing I can think of is maybe using two different browsers.. but theres got to be a better way..
