Ref Lavasoft Ad-aware SE PLUS Version for Build 1.05 "CD" was purchased at amazon.com May 10,2005. I received the"CD" in the mail on May 18 and installed it immediately and received a registration confirmation and Password from Lavasoft.
All was going wonderful for 2 weeks with the additional features until the Ad-Aware on-line program alerted me to download to Build 1.06 version.

Well it s not converting me to Build 1.06 .
I have received emails from Lavasoft instructing me to Register again,
But then it returns a message that I have no license..
I feel lost at sea

I have the same thing happening to me and, like you, I do not know what to do. Mine was purchased on May 12th 2005 at OfficeMax so it is just over 2 weeks old.

Try uninstalling the version you have now, download and install the new version and see if your password and registration info will get the 1.06 version going.

If not, get with Lavasoft again and see if they can reregister the new version.

This is probably not much help, but let's see how it goes.

I tried all of the above and, would you believe, I am being told via the Upgrade Center that: "According to our data, you are not eligible for an upgrade."

I await a response from Ad-Aware.

There is no Lavasoft Management member here,

So your only option is to contact Lavasoft directly.

I wish you good luck

I am doubtful that he would reply based on Numbnut's solution as he has been inundated with a barrage of questions from users of that site, you included, and he hasn't responded to ANY of them. That's customer service for you and to think that I was a paying customer. I guess I would have been better off with the FREE version of Ad-Aware. They should take a page out of Microsoft's Windows Update where the software goes directly to their website and perform that upgrade automatically. Today, still no response from Lavasoft regarding my customer service e-mail to them.

It is strange that paying customers are being treated badly.

I just updated my FREE Ad-Aware SE to version 1.06r1 with no trouble whatsoever using its own update service. Sure, I don't have some features in the free version, but it does everything I want it to do.

I have the same thing happening to me and, like you, I do not know what to do.
This forum seems to be our last resort. Mine was purchased on May from CompUSA.

I have tried to email Lavasoft twice with no response.
I have tried to contact Element 5 cannot talk to anyone.

I have a logon and password, I have registered it twice, I had problems even doing that, now when it's time to upgrade afer having the purchased software for only a few weeks
I too am being told via the Upgrade Center that: "According to our data, you are not eligible for an upgrade."

Thought I was doing the right thing by buying the software !

Now I too am left holding the bag, with a company that will not respond.

Sure the free version works, but that's not what WE paid for !

Help !

Thanks for sharing your concern here in the AAW support area of GeeksToGo Forums gentlemen.

I having been an official Moderator at the "former" LS Support Board can sadly at this stage only sympathize with this most recent dilema.

There is to my knowledge no known or provided explaination YET for the delay that you and others are experiencing over this issue, and others i might add.

Since Lavasoft Management has assumed a totally different structure now to how they choose to officially and/or personally respond to users/customers alike i'm afraid there is very little we can offer at this time and nothing at all in the form of an official capacity other than point you to links/email addy that you have had no success in yet..

Support forum members will continue to address AAW program/foulware issues and offer guidance to the same as we always had then, but LS has severed ALL communications between them and those who tended there before.

Sure the free version works, but that's not what WE paid for !

Indeed!

;) you no longer offer support for users of the paid software apart from redirecting them back to Lavasoft yet you will give support on Ad Watch feature :tazz:
