Step 1.

Download AVPTool from Here to your desktop

Run the programme you have just downloaded to your desktop ( it will be randomly named )

First we will run a virus scan
On the first tab select all elements down to Computer and then select start scan
Once it has finished select report and post that.

When I do the scan, it took about 1.5 hours to get to 10%. At the end, I never got a chance to finish the scan. Is it supposed to be that long? Is there any other way to make it shorter?

Re read the instructions for the analysis scan, it should take less than an hour.

MBRCheck should take only a few minutes to run.

Here they are again:

Step 1.

Now an analysis scan
Select the Manual Disinfection tab
Press the Gather System Information button
Once done Open the last report saved folder then attach the zip file to your next post zip
The file is located at C:\Users\your name\Desktop\Virus Removal Tool\setup_9.0.0.722_05.01.2011_20-34\LOG\avptool_sysinfo.zip

Step 2.

Please download MBRCheck.exe to your Desktop. Run the application.

If no infection is found, it will produce a report on the desktop. Post that report in your next reply.

If an infection is found, you will be presented with the following dialog:

Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:

Type N and press Enter. A report will be produced on the desktop. Post that report in your next reply.

Step 3.

Please post:
