On one of my machines I'm trying to dual boot Ubuntu and XP. I have my original XP install disk and my licence key. Ubuntu is already installed and working. The install goes as expected to the point where the machine reboots and you'd expect the install to continue from the HD. However, the install then asks for the SP2 disk. I never had an SP2 disk. This distribution is from pre-sp2. So, I put the only disk I have back in and get an error. It reads something like...can't find the c:\i386 directory. If tried Googling the exact error and nothing valuable comes up. Just a lot people guessing at the solution.

If you've solved this problem, I'd sure like to hear from you.
