OK so I now have the latest: Adobe Reader X (10.1.1), Adobe FlashPlayer 11 Active X, Java ™ 6 Update 29. On reader, I unchecked the enable acrobat javascript as you suggested.

We have a wireless router w/encrypted WEP password so I think we're good here.

And...I will reinstall Kapersky.

All other programs deleted (Combofix, etc) and OTL cleanup/uninstall done.

Thanks again Ron for all your help. I appreciate it more than words could ever say. Best to you & yours for the upcoming holiday!

I think Java may have just rolled over to a new version today. My file hippo told me to download 7 update 2 this morning. (Somehow it's on a different series than the Java site. Java says they gave out the 7 version to certain large customers for reasons only they understand.)

Don't be too complacent with a WEP encryted router. The crooks in the second link I gave you in the goodbye speech were hacking WEP encrypted routers. See http://lifehacker.co...-with-backtrack which was the first link of many that came up when I googled wep hack.
