Hi this is my 1st post here so please be kind. Don't even know if I'm in the right place!!!
I'm trying to transfer video from 8cm camcorder discs onto a DVD. I read somewhere that I would need Nero. However, haven't a clue how to use it. When I put my 8cm disc in the video comes up but don't know what to do from here. Can anyone help me please?

You don't need Nero as such, and depending on the version you have may be more of a hinderance than a help.
