afd Service is not running. Checking service configuration:
Checking Start type: Attention! Unable to open afd registry key. The service key does not exist.
Checking ImagePath: Attention! Unable to open afd registry key. The service key does not exist.

This is the problem the malware has deleted that key

So lets now replace it :)

Download the attached zip file to your desktop
Extract the Afd reg fix file to your desktop
Right click the file and select merge
Reboot and then try the net

The owner picked it up yesterday and I told them to call me if they have any other problems. I haven't heard anything from them so I [bleep] u me... lol... all is going well.
I told them there were some updates they would need to install and make sure they have a good, active AV program installed. I recommended Microsoft Essentials.
Since this person is a co-worker I usually don't charge them anything. If they do give me something I will share it with you.

Thanks for all the assistance....
