Hi there,

I am looking at buying a tablet or phone in the future with Android. My question is are you able to sync the Android device with Windows, more specificaly the scheduler etc with Microsoft Office Outlook.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul,

There are various ways to synchronize your Android device with Microsoft Outlook. PCMag has a useful article about this question, check this out: How To: Sync Android With Microsoft Outlook.

Just for an aside on this subject.
I have dropped outlook some time ago, using the web based "Yahoo mail" when the web based clients were much improved. I used to hate them and used the outlook POP service to suck the mail from Yahoo.
I have had a Google account from way back and I am now using it big time on the HTC Desire HD phone and Motorola XOOM tablet Both these also suck the yahoo account not using the dedicated Yahoo-mail app.

With Google I use calender, reader, music and a few other services that just make life over several devices work both on-line and off.

As an aside, I love blackberry phones. I never realized how easy it is to get mail from not only my outlook, but also gmail, and yahoo mail. Just simply added the mail addresses to my curve and bold phones and i get them all. I can also delete and send them to my other computers from my phone. I did like my android phones but really did not need everything they offered, plus i got tired of charging them every morning and having them crash during the day and needing a reboot to keep working. I have not crashed my blackberrys yet.
