PS3 ' rock band virus?

Recently a friend downloaded the new version of rock band 2 (on PS3) and it seems that he downloaded a virus instead! the game goes crazy and it starts pressing buttons by itself. Im not sure what I can do and how can I resolve this issue. We tried another game (green day rock band) and this doesnt happen. Any comments?
