Often I get a blue screen announcing that computer is performing a memory dump then it restarts and I have to restart programmes that were running at the time. I am then invited to send an "error message" which I know is a total waste of time. Help please.

Turn off automatic restart so you can read BSOD information:

Right click on My Computer.
Click Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery Settings.
Uncheck box for "Automatically restart".

When did this start happening?
Did you make any changes around that time? Add or remove software or hardware?

What is the make and model number of your computer?

I sure hope so. If it does come back you can post here or start another thread.

Good luck and Merry Christmas.
