Hello, i am planning on building one of my first computers. and i was wondering if anyone could look over my hardware list to make sure its okay
i7 2600k cpu
asus p8z68 - pro/gen3 lga 1155 intel motherboard
asus gtx560 fermi overclocked video card x2 (sli)
western digital black caviar hdd 2tb
intel 320 ssd 120gb
looking at maybe a coolermaster haf x case
any 80 plus certified powersupply
and probably a blu ray writer optical drive
and i havent decided on any of the other part so i was hoping for some suggestions thanks (:

You havn`t listed any Ram, use the MBs QVL (qualified vendor list) see the memory support tab @ http://www.asus.com/...8V_PROGEN3/#MSL for compatible Ram and for best performance if using a 64-bit OS 8GB is best, everything else looks ok but to help you choose a PSU see http://www.10stripe....d/psu/brand.php and to ensure you have enough power use a calculator such as
http://www2.corsair.com/psufinder/ (example only)

Just a cautionary note, unless your OS disk is the full retail edition you cannot use it with a new MB as an OEM disk is tied to the original MB it was paired with, to use an OEM disk with a new MB is software piracy and therefore illegal.
Exceptions to the above are 1: If your MB is replaced under warranty and 2: If your MB is replaced under warranty with an alternative type due to the original model being no longer available.
