The error page i get to is as follows:

I tried to fix my original problem from hitman pro which caused /NOEXECUTE OPTIN /MININT by following these instructions here which led to my current downfall

Lets try to scan the computer. You will need a USB pendrive.

For x32 (x86) bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to a flash drive.
For x64 bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool x64 and save it to a flash drive.

Plug the flashdrive into the infected PC.

Enter System Recovery Options.

To enter System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options:

• Restart the computer.
  
• As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
  
• Click on Repair your computer menu item.
  
• Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
  
• Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
  
• Select your user account and click Next.

On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

Startup Repair
System Restore
Windows Complete PC Restore
Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
Command Prompt

• Select Command Prompt
  
• In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
  
• The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
  
• Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
  
• In the command window type e:\frst.exe (for x64 bit version type e:\frst64) and press Enter
  Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
  
• The tool will start to run.
  
• When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  
• Press Scan button.
  
• It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

I downloaded the file and inserted it into the infected computer however when I try tapping the F8 key to enter the startup recovery, it just goes straight to "Windows Boot Manager" with the original message I posted earlier. (i.e. Windows failed to start. File: \Boot\BCD Status:0xc0000098 etc.....)

The only "F" keys it will let me press before entering the error message are "F2 Setup" and "F12 Boot Options"

Do you have the install DVD as an alternate to reach the Recovery options?

No, my computer came pre-loaded with Windows 7 so I don't have any discs at all.

For the type of issue, only throughout the Repair Console we will be able to work. We can write a new MBR using other tools, but to rebuild the BCD store, only the repair console will work.

Try again. As soon as you see the BIOS logo, start tapping on F8 every second until you reach the Recovery Console.

I've tried many times... I have tapped F8 every second multiple times, still it goes straight to the original message in "Windows Boot Manager"

Lets attempt to write the MBR.

• Download NTBR_CD by noahdfear.
  
• Extract its contents to the desktop.
  
• Once extracted, open the NTBR_CD folder and click on the BurnItCD application.
  
• Insert a blank CD when prompted. The .iso image will be burned to the CD.
  
• Boot the computer with the CD you just burned and follow the prompts.
  
• Press Enter for English.
  
• At the menu type 1 to select MBRWORK then hit Enter
  
  This screen will show the hard drive configuration.
  
  
  
• Type 5 to Install standard MBR code then hit Enter
  
• Type 2 to select Windows 7 then hit Enter
  
• Type Y then hit Enter to confirm
  
• Type E then hit Enter to exit
  
• Back at the menu, type 6 to Quit.
  
• Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart the machine.
  
• Eject the CD upon restart and boot normally.

Almost immediately after I pressed enter to run the program. Probably about 3 seconds after the program began.

Chances are there is a problem with compatibility. You will need to obtain a Recovery CD for Windows 7, 64bit or 32bits, whichever may be the case or the Install DVD to work this out.

Okay, thanks for trying... How do I know if I have a 64 or 32 bit computer if I am unable to boot it up and look at the settings? Is there anyway of telling by looking in F2 Setup or F12 since that's all I can access?
