How to determine total bandwidth used by one laptop over a period, irrespective of ISP or hotspot ?

Not possible without some software installed on the laptop.

Just google your query and you will find many sites that would let you know (free) the bandwidth consumed by your laptop. If you want to keep a constant check on your bandwidth, you had better install a software that could rest in your task bar.
