How do I enable my onboard video card

If you can see the boot process up until the point when Windows loads, the onboard is not disabled. It sounds more like it is set to a resolution that is not supported by the onboard, or the monitor. You might try booting into Safe Mode and see what happens, then set the resolution to the native resolution for your monitor. If you have more than one graphics output ports, you might try the other port as what may be happening is Windows wants to use a digital output (via DVI or HDMI).
That said, to enable your onboard, you should be able to boot into the BIOS Setup Menu and somewhere (typically under "integrated devices") you should be able to enable it. Short of that, check your motherboard/computer manual for "resetting the BIOS" or resetting the CMOS. If you have to do this, make sure you boot immediately into the BIOS Setup Menu and set your data and time, then Save and Exit to boot normally.
