Good Morning Everyone, Just wondering if someone can help me. I have 3 Dell Minis here. None of them are working. When I boot them up I get the message
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt

Because the Mini does not have a cd-rom / dvd rom, I have a portable drive. I have tried running the XP start up disk but it will not let me delete the existing partition and do a clean install of XP..

Any help will be greatly appreciated.. Or maybe I should just pitch them in the garbage..

If you decide to pitch them, I'll send you my address and you can pitch them to me

To do a clean install you need to boot the CD. Is the portable bootable? Does the mini have a Fn key you can press to bring up the Boot menu? If so, is the portable device visible there or any USB selection? If not, go into BIOS Setup and set USB as the first boot device.
