Hello I wanna build my own computer, I have some knowledge of how to assemble the computer, but I am not sure what components I should buy, can anybody help with this? My budget is around 2000 US dollars

I wanna use this computer for hardcore gaming, photo/video editing.
Its gotta be a very powerful and mean computer!

I got monitors, mouse, keyboard, and speakers, and no OS.

I have on question, should I wait for the intel Ivy Bridge or does that matter or not?

I would say, no. The selected SB 2600K will run the rig superbly. Although Ivy Bridge is due out soon, there might be delays, it may have unforeseen bugs, it will probable be expensive to start off with. Ivy Bridge is a future upgrade should you feel you need it.

At the moment the build is geared towards gaming.

It can be tweaked for Photo/video.

The suggested GPU is not supported in some Photo/Video software so may need to be swapped for one with CUDA.
