You also need a scratch file, so a configuration of 3 HDDs or more.

Hello there Iammykyl.

First of i'll start apologizing, for just leaving, and keeping you hanging, i did not know the rules of the forum. Im sorry.

When that is done, i would yet another time ask for your help building my computer as i have not seen it done yet. I can go back and look at the last build you gave me, but is there any upgrades that can be made to it? I still have about 2000 us dollars, or as i see you are from Australia (as is my dad!) here is the conversion from google 12 000 Danish kroner = 2 058.20081 Australian dollars.
The computer is to be used for gaming, software development and internet surfing. But also for school work, and video editing.

This would cost me between 1700-2000 DKK.
If i just do a conversion its around 1700, but when i looked at a danish site it was 2000.

Hello hello again
I have been creating a build on the site
and as i see it, the price is a bit too high, I hav to stay under 12000 danish kroner.
and that is under 1300 pounds.

I dont really need that much hdd space, as my editing is not that much tbh. So we could maybe get just one 750 one? Or what do you suggest, and also the PSU has to be accounted for.

I selected W7 professional as it supports more than 16GB of memory. If you think you will not install more than 16GB? we can use Home Premium, saving £35


Filling a HDD past the 70% significantly effects perforce as you are using the slowest inner part of the platters, So I still think you should stay with a 1TB disk. Removed both of the original selection, replaced with the Samsung F3

Unfortunately because the GPU is in high demand and supply is limited, it has increased in price by about £50. It will come down, especially as the 690 has just been released.

Hello yeah, the price is nearly there now, ill start whenever i get back tonight, ill check all the parts in Denmark and see if i can get them here.

Im not gonna install more than 16 GB ram. A range between 8 - 16 is all good, I have been living with 4 GB for a long time haha

Okay have just been checking the danish prices now, and we are about 130 pounds to much.

I was thinking maybe a GeForce GTX 580, or will it destroy my build? As it saves alot of money. Maybe even enough to add a SSD for the os?

No, it will not destroy the build but, performance is a lot less and no support for PCI-E 3.0 or more than 2 monitors. Look at the second link for the GTX 670, Tthat would bring the price down. . .

So I am just about ready to buy the parts, found a good danish site with most of the components on, just not the samsung ones.

So my question is: would it be better to get the higher version of windows so i can get more than 16 gb of ram? and with the Home Premium can i just 16GB, but just not higher? cos otherwise i will drop down to 12.

And next question is: I looked at a review of the case, and it said that it does not come with a removable motherboard tray, I dont have that much knowledge in assemling the parts, so how is this important?

If you buy te Home edition, you are limited to max 16GB of RAM. If you stay with our currnt PhotoShop version, you will be fine. If you decide to upgrade your PhotoShop version and/or start very large complex edititing, you may need more RAM.

Stay with 16GB (2 x 8GB) using 2 slots (Dual Channel Mode) slot 1 and 3.
If you have 12GB (3 x 4GB) using slots 1 and 3 first (Dual Channel Mode) then adding the 3rd stick to slot 2 or 4 will force the RAM to run in Single Channel Mode resulting in poorer performance.

Not a deal breaker. Having a removable motherboard mounting plates is a bit of a luxury. Instead of installing the Mobo inside the case and then adding your parts, you can remove the plate from inside the case, fasten down the Mobo, install all the parts and then simple put the plate back inside the case.

Have you decided about the GPU?
If money is still a bit tight, have you considered buying all the parts, except the GPU, building the system, and buying the card in a couple of months.

Hey man!

Yes i decided for the 670! Its really good from what is see in reviews and cheaper than the 680, and the 690 is just insane in price haha
Also on the Danish site for the parts, they got the 670 from different companies, Gainward, Evga, Gigabyte etc. Does that matter?

I have a question about my RAM, on the Danish site where i can buy the parts, they got 16 GB in 4/4Gb is that alright? They dont got 2/8Gb ;s
