You only need to see if the MB is the same as the one @ http://bizsupport1.a...rodTypeId=12454 if it is not then check if it has a pci-e X16 slot for an add on video card.

when factoring in the PSU please bring this to your mind cuz its a possibility its also going in the computer...which if my mind and sources and common sense tells me.... its a better processor than whats in the computer.

As I pointed out earlier the Apricot MB that you have now confirmed is in your PC does not have a pci-e X16 slot it only has two pci-e X1 slots and this is the best card I could find in that format http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814500233 this card requires a PSU with a minimum output of 300W so your present PSU needs to go in the trash (the only safe place for a Bestec) this is on offer and will fit a small form factor case http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817371031 and this http://www.newegg.co...N82E16817371031 is the same dimensions as your present PSU.
There are pci-e X1 to pci-e X16 adapters that you can purchase but I don`t know how stable they are or whether if there would be enough room in your case for both.

Being realistic your present MB and case are restricting your options, with $600 we can suggest an upgrade for each of these + a CPU, video card and PSU, you will however need to purchase a new licence for your OS if you upgrade your MB, let us know what you decide.

would that card be able to play online computer games on the highest graphics settings without lag? and would i be able to put this processor http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819103851 into the system without having to upgrade the MB or the Case? it was listed on the website you told me to match the MB from:( http://bizsupport1.a...rodTypeId=12454 ) and would you consider that processor to be an upgrade? now the other thing.... is where in the machine is the graphics card... when i opened the machine i seen those 2 really long black ports and only 1 of them had a "CARD" in them... what is that? i thought it was the graphics card but looking at the picture of the card u suggested and seeing there was no ports on the said "CARD" i see thats not the case. what is it?

Yes but it would be a waste of a good processor in a very limited system and would not help with the gaming you are looking for without additional Ram, a suitable video card and a PSU that was capable of providing good clean and stable power.

There isn`t one, the MB only has an onboard video chip, from your MB specs Integrated graphics using ATI Radeon 3000

What you are referring to are the DIMMs/slots where the Ram goes and the card you see is a stick of Ram.

ok so with the things you suggested i buy (the gfx card and the psu) and a higher grade ram stick would that processor be worth buying? that psu u showed me was 600w. and you said with my current system that graphics card was the best you could find? just wanna make sure everything is right before we dump the money. thanks for all your help

EDIT: what would i do with the current graphics card/chip/whatever it is lol after i install the new graphics card? and i HATE to make you work more than you have to but is there a chance u can show me to a good motherboard that can be put in this ones place that would support a better graphics card, PSU, RAM, and processor? we love our games and we like to get the most out of them but crappy graphics and lag dont do it especially when we cant keep up with other players cuz of it.

id like to explore all my options... no rush so when you find what u feel will work best for me: MB, GFX, PSU, Processor, and im guessing a new case please let me know... question is tho... since im not swapping the Harddrive why would i need a new license for windows its not saved to the harddrive?

LOL wow thats a comeplete computer rebuild almost. whats missing from that build? just the harddrive??? i can pretty much just get rid of the computer i got now if im gonna do all that. the windows license you mentioned...thats not saved on the harddrive? i would be able to just place this harddrive into the new case right?

Almost, no CD/DVD drive either, you can get a good one for less than $20.

Regarding the OS issue, see below;

Unless your OS disk is the full retail edition you cannot use it with a new MB as an OEM disk is tied to the original MB it was paired with, to use an OEM disk with a new MB is software piracy and therefore illegal.
Exceptions to the above are 1: If your MB is replaced under warranty and 2: If your MB is replaced out of warranty with an alternative type but same brand due to the original model no longer being available, an upgraded MB however will require the purchase of a new OS licence.

Just remember it must be a DVD drive to install Windows 7. Windows will not fit on a CD.
