Hi I am building my own for the first time and I have found all my parts I want I just needed someone to look them over and tell me if they see something wrong or something not compatible. I am going for a system that is capable of good quality videos and I want to use this system for vegas pro editing. I'll be running dreamweaver adobe pre elements and other software like it. If you could look at what I have picked out and tell me what you think. Should my video card be high end for editing or does that matter? Also I wanted to find 2 8gb memory sticks instead of 4x4 since it can take up to 32gb that way I would have 2 slots left over for upgrade later if I wanted is that possible.
Thanks

I know that a AMD platform is less expensive than Intel but I feel you are heading down the wrong track. You would be very disappointed with the performance.

The FX-4100 is out classed by the Phenom ll X4 970 and up, http://www.cpubenchm...h_end_cpus.html

Intel is the only way to go. Explore this site, http://ppbm5.com/DB-PPBM5.php

Please read this article by Harm Millaard, he really knows his onions. Read the lot, then follow his link to the main article.

Look forward to your response.

Well the whole idea was trying to get away from intel for a change but I guess I would be better off with it can you look at the motherboard and tell me if the phenom II x4 would go with it I thought I read that this motherboard would only be able to use the FX type processor. If so could you recommend a a good mobo between 75 to $100. The reason I went with this Mobo and processor was the ratings on them were between 4-5 out of 5. Thanks for the help
