Hi all!

I have a problem.

I have just bought a netgear wireless router, in anticipation for getting aol broadband and having it on my laptop.

I have it all plugged in and there seems to be a wireless connection. I can acess my laptop's shared documents from my pc, but not the other way round. It says i do not have permission to view it!

Can anyone help me sort this out?

Thanks

This is almost definately a firewall problem.

Try closing down all firewalls (including windows firewall) and then trying it again.

Are you running one account with administrator priveledges and the other with limited? To check this go to control panel, user accounts and you will see all accounts. Now what firewalls do you have running? If you are running the Service Pack 2 Windows Firewall you will need to go to the control panel and get into the firewall configuration and enable file and printer sharing. It is turned off by default with service pack 2.
