hp dc7100 asking for password before satrting up

I was given a hp dc7100 with windows xp on it and as soon as you turn it on it goes into some sort of manufacture diagnostics mode and then asks for a password. Is there any thing I can do to get into this computer

I'm sorry but the TOU for G2G does not allow us to help with this kind of problem.

From the TOU: Due to the nature of online help we are not able to verify ownership, and will not be able to help bypass or recover any user passwords, cd keys, license codes, serial numbers, etc.

You best bet is to use Google to search for an answer.
