Bit of a delay here. Try to avoid that, as changes occur in the meantime, making previous scan results questionable.

Go to Start – Settings – Control Panel. Click on Add/Remove Programs. If any of the following programs are listed there, click on the program to highlight it, and click on Remove. Then close the Control Panel.

Other than redirecting searches (through XFinity) to earn Comcast $$, it apparently installs some Computer Associate anti-malware functions (not recommended).

And go ahead if you would and uninstall Avast. If it is a paid version, be sure to have saved any registration/key info for a reinstall. Reboot, then try aswMBR and Gmer again. Can't think of any other culprits, as none have shown so far.
