Actually I rather like the idea of malware, if only because:

a) my knowledge of computers has had to keep up with malware.
b) people have taught me about computers.
c) computers have taught me about people.
d) computers and people have taught me about myself.
e) malware exploits the weakness in people such as their habbits, their lack of knowledge and their lack of patience.
f) malware exploits the weakness of the system.

Conclusion: without malware one might have remained the eternal victim, with malware one bites from the tree of knowledge, more malware please.

I originally found Geeks to Go because I got infected with a:b! I was not using a P2P, I would never download a file that I didn't know what it was exactly, and I was not surfing any "naughty" sites. I was on a safe forum (the only website I went to!) one night, then all of a sudden major pop-ups, redirects, stuff that was annoying as heck.

To this day I still haven't a clue how I got infected with a:b. :tazz: But it isn't happening again I guarantee you that lol I only had Service Pack 1 at the time so that may have had something to do with... still can't figure out why all of a sudden I got infected just from being on that messageboard...(believe me it was a safe messageboard, but I won't say the name of it ;))

So, basically, my point is that you don't have to do anything bad to get infected. I would hate to have seen what would have happened to my computer had I not had any service packs at all ;)

Anyway, I think that's it lol
Michelle :)
