not sure how to figure them out, my start menu, and desktop have been wiped clean, system check is saying everything is critical, the onlything i can use is what in the bottom right corner of my screen(thank god i had yahoo messenger) it says system 32 is unreadable or corrupted, hard drive clusters are partly damaged ram memory speed decreased significantly. etc.... I dont have a reboot disc or anything. when i click start all it has is all programs which is empty and favorites which is empty as well. I click fix this on system check nothing works. Windows os can't detect free space hard drive....... What do i do?

I bought it a year ago on craig's list, this is the first time it's acted up other than the atvidawg blue screen, which hasn't been much. I think it is custom built. Last thing I was doing was being online, and getting a update to eve(game)

Hi there lets see what we can achieve. I have moved the topic to Virus and Malware as you are infected

Download RogueKiller to your desktop

  • Quit all running programs
  • run RogueKiller.exe
  • When prompted, type 2 and press enter
  • The RKreport[1].txt shall be generated next to the executable.
  • Press a key to continue
  • When prompted, type 6 and press enter
  • The RKreport[2].txt shall be generated next to the executable.
  • Press a key to continue
  • When prompted, type 0 and press enter to quit
  • If the program is blocked, do not hesitate to try several times. If it really does not work (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe
Please post the contents of the RKreport text files in your next Reply.

THEN

Download OTL to your Desktop
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Select All Users
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    consrv.dll
    explorer.exe
    winlogon.exe
    Userinit.exe
    svchost.exe
    /md5stop
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NetBT /s
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NetBIOS /s
    hklm\software\clients\startmenuinternet|command /rs
    hklm\software\clients\startmenuinternet|command /64 /rs
    C:\Windows\assembly\tmp\U\*.* /s
    %Temp%\smtmp\1\*.*
    %Temp%\smtmp\2\*.*
    %Temp%\smtmp\3\*.*
    %Temp%\smtmp\4\*.*
    CREATERESTOREPOINT
  • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Post both logs

AND FINALLY

Download aswMBR.exe ( 4.1mb ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it Click the "Scan" button to start scan

On completion of the scan click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply
