Please let us know if it worked for you as it may help others in the future with the same issue.

The reason ı wanted W.M.P back is because ı felt that the sound

when playıng musıc CD's ,

was superıor to that of .VLC

Now however ı do have good stereo sound on VLC

as well so,

ı have decided to keep all file associations,

as they are (all with VLC. for the time being.

However if in the future ı decide otherwise (one never knows)

i'll be reporting back.

Thanks again

Well,ı posted the questıon below at the VLC forum
,

' I 'know that at VLC ı can through Tools>Preferences>Setup Assocıatıons,

uncheck relevant boxes,to make W.M.Player my default musıc CD player agaın,

however ı don't know WHICH BOXES TO UNCHECK to make that happen''

and asked for advice.

Thıs ıs the answer ı receıved:
.
''That won't work. You have to uninstall VLC and reinstall without Context menu stuff.''

I asked for him to be specific,

however ı haven't receıved a reply as yet.

If you installed VLC with the defaults settings it will play everything. The other way you can resolve this is to right click on any mp3 file and then click on Open with.
This will give you a list of installed players and you can choose the player you want that type of player to use with that type of file.

Not a problem i just want to double check everything to make sure we are not missing a step. More for my peace of mind as I do sometimes miss steps. ;)
