my computer wont connect to the internet

hi my computer isn't connecting to the internet. it keeps trying and says aquiring network address and then doesn't connect. i have typed ipconfig into cmd and it says my ip address is 0.0.0.0 as is the subnet mask and when i try to renew it either times out or says it cant as media is disconnected.
any ideas.

i have just tried to renew the ip again and it has come up with.
an error has occurred while renewing interface wireless connection3 the DHCP client has obtained an ip address that is already inuse on the network. the local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address.
