I have a directory on an external drive that I can not delete.

I get an "Item Not Found" message.

The properties shows the OBJECT NAME as "W:\backup\apparelnews\work\Weekly-i"

But if I attempt to delete this directory or any contents, I get the message "not found".

Any help?

I would run error checking on the drive, either from the Tools tab for the drive under Computer (with both options checked), or from a command prompt using:

chkdsk w: /r

(assuming w: is the correct drive letter).

Note depending on the size of the drive, it could take many hours, or over night to complete. Just let it run.
