Hi,
When I go to open:

C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Temp

I get:

Microsoft Visual C = = Runtime Library
Explorer Exe R6025
Pure Virtual Function Call

It only happens on the Temp Folder. Can you assist when you have some spare time?

Do the following please.

1. Open Internet Explorer, click the Safety tab on the lower menu bar or the Tools tab on the main menu bar depending on which edition you are using and click on Delete Browsing history.
Provising you know any passwords you use for email or other sites (this is not connected with your passowrd to sign on Windows) check all boxes, but UNCHECK the very top box above the bar.
Run that.

If you use both - do both.

2. Run a diskcleanup
Start
Programs
Accessories
System Tools
Disk Cleanup.

3. Run this please.

When you run this close all open windows to the desktop.
Click Start
The program will run and when it completes n it will tell you so and indicate if restart is necessary.
Whilst running your icons will disappear this is normal.
If you are in any way susceptible to flashing graphics, the small graphic in the top right hand corner does flash.

4. See how it is now please.

5. If you can see Local Settings, Temp then you must have Show Hidden files and folders checked in Tools tab, Folder options, View - on My Computer window.

It is unfortunately not that easy.
The best guess, using guess in the meaning - a guess on the evidence available is that one of the files in your temp folder was calling for an action on something that no longer exisited or the file was corrupt.

This error occurs when your application indirectly calls a pure virtual member function in a context where a call to the function is not valid. In most cases, the compiler detects this and reports the error when building the application. But depending on how your code is written, sometimes the problem is detected only at run-time.

The error occurs when you indirectly call a pure virtual function within the context of a call to the constructor or destructor of an abstract base class


In simple terms failing to delete browsing history, failing to clean up etc. can cause this issue.
