will a Seagate Barracuda ST1500DL003 1.50 TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive replace a seagate barracuda 7200.12 sata 3 gb/s 1 tb st31000528as in a dell inspiron desktop?
My hdd went out and I am having trouble finding a replacement that is exact.

The drive will physically fit, the rpm of the replacement HDD is slightly slower, it will function at the max gb/s that your MB is capable of and a + is that it has an improved 64mb of cache as opposed to the old HDDs 32mb of cache.
