I was trying to debug the blue screen crash this morning. I followed steps mentioned in this post and set the device verifier to exclude anything that says Microsoft Corp. Guess what, I am not able to boot in my PC now. I am only getting Realtek error. The 3 boot options that I have are (1)CD (2)SATA (3)Real tek

I don't have windows CD, and I badly need to get into my PC. Please Please help...

thanks for that cute welcome note Rockmilk!
But, how do I enter in safe mode? I tried pressing all function keys (including F8) on the first screen, but it doesn't let me enter into the OS.
I did not get an option for safemode

Do you have your windows 7 disc?

EDIT: Should have read a little better since you do not have your cd then in your bios disable
(1)CD (3)Real tek These two.Then see if you can get into safemode.

I disabled CD and RealTek options. Now I only have SATA: WDC WD...... as boot option.
It is still not booting.

The message that I am getting is "Reboot and select proper boot device or Insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"
I tried pressing keys , but the same message repeats

I got a windows 7 CD from a friend. Using CD as boot option, I am able to get to 2 options (1) install (2) repair. I tried using repair option, but does not fix the problem. Blue screen keeps coming. I didn't try install option, since the help says I need to back files before installing. Is there anything that I can do now at least to backup my files at this point?
