I have AVG for virus detection and ZoneAlarm Firewall. ZoneAlarm is recent - I was previously using Symantec Personal Firewall until I was advised that it is no longer updated.
I have Microsoft's Firewall turned off
I never knowingly installed Norton, but it pops up regularly to tell me if the Virus/Firewall/Windows updates are on - not useful information.

Also, symwsc is running and hogging CPU. As far as I know it is a Symantec program, which I shouldn't have, since I uninstalled the Symantec firewall. Is symwsc doing anything useful ? If not, how can I get rid of it?
