I have Open Office 3.3. on a system using Windows 7 Ultimate as the OS. There is a shortcut to it on my desktop, but I wanted to know if there is a way to put shortcuts to individual components of Open Office on the desktop (i.e. Text Document, Spreadsheet, etc.) without having to open all of Open Office?

All the shortcuts to the individual programs are on the Start Menu in the OpenOffice folder. You don't need the desktop shortcut as such.
