The Google update/installers were in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\UrlSearchHooks (i think). The "no file found"s were kinda scattered about, but mostly in "services" and highlighted in pink so they stood out pretty good. That "Autoruns" looks like a nice, powerful tool.

Oh, I also just put ZoneAlarm on both the pc and the laptop. I had it years ago, but thought it slowed me down too much (but that was in dialup days).:thumbsup:
