Sims 3 is so slow!

Hi, so I am having problems with how slow Sims 3 is running on my laptop. It's a newer computer with 4.0 GB RAM but I do have a few addition packs and custom content installed. Is there anything I can do? The game is unbearably slow at this point.

Hi Camper24,

A few questions for you.

1. What graphics card do you have?

2. What are the addition packs and custom content?

3. Does the game run slowly if you run it on minimum requirements?

Its quite an old game so can't see why it would be running so slowly, you only need 1.5 GB RAM and 128mb of Graphics RAM.

Before you reply, try an update on your graphics card. This sometimes solves some gaming issues.
