I have two internet address that I can no longer access anymore. They are https://emilpo.ahrs.army.mil/ and https://mail.mdw.army.mil/exchange/logon.asp. Both sites keep bringing up Errors. The error site, says that either the site is either busy or my address is in correct. But when I access it on my friends computer, I have no problem. Can you help me. <_<

Welcome to GTG specialdark25 <_<

Thanks for pointing out the specific sites for us. Notice the s in https://. This means it is a secure site. Try this - with all browser windows closed, Go to Start->Run and copy and paste each of the following, hitting ok after each:
regsvr32 softpub.dll
regsvr32 wintrust.dll
regsvr32 initpki.dll
regsvr32 dssenh.dll
regsvr32 rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 sccbase.dll
regsvr32 slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll
Reboot, then try to access the sites that were giving you problems again.

If that doesn't work, you need to repair internet explorer. Put your Windows XP CD in your CD drive and:

1. Go to "Start", then "Run"
2. Type "sfc.exe /scannow" and press enter

In that case, it's spyware/adware. Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results. <_<

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure. Please move Hijack This to a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold:

C:\Program Files\NZSearch\ <- Folder
C:\WINNT\systb.dll
C:\Program Files\DownloadWare\ <- Folder
C:\Program Files\Thewhe\ <- Folder (name start with this)
C:\WINNT\web\related.htm
C:\WINNT\CFIM.exe
C:\WINNT\FVProtect.exe
C:\WINNT\mfyvub.exe
C:\WINNT\wupdt.exe

Next, please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Also, you have an unnecessary office process running that is a RAM HOG! For more information and how to disable it, see here:
http://support.micro...spx?kbid=282599

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:7900
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 64.136.29.30;64.136.21.30;64.136.29.34;searchap.untd.com;127.0.0.1;localhost;*windowsupdate.microsoft.com;*windowsupdate.com;*wustat.windows.com;*profiles.yahoo.com;*.pogo.com;*test-speed.com;<local>R3 - URLSearchHook: URLSearchHook Class - {37D2CDBF-2AF4-44AA-8113-BD0D2DA3C2B8} - C:\Program Files\NZSearch\SearchEnh1.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Wupdate driver] WUPDADTE.EXE
O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [Wupdate driver] WUPDADTE.EXE

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\WINNT\System32\WUPDADTE.EXE

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. <_<

No luck. This is the lastest. I can not delete the following file C:\WINNT\System32\WUPDADTE.EXE. I keep getting an error of the disk may be protected or the file may be in use. Also do I need to have connectivity in safe mode to remove this file? If so, how do I do this?
