Mouse not responding/driver problem maybe

It all started when I wanted to install a game. My DVD - Rom wont read the disc. Somewhere I read to delete some files which began with "4D..." in the registry editor, i deleted them and rebooted my PC, but suddenly, my mouse wont work! It is glowing ( u know what I mean) but it wont work, i tried everything, unpluging, restarting, and stuff but nothing works! Is it a driver problem?? And how to install the driver when i cant move my mouse ( Im on laptop)

Edit: My keyboard is not working also, software 100%!!! What to do? Please help
