Hi

I am experiencing something weird. I am running Excel 2002 and I have a file that I open called Crested. When it opens I have 2 workbooks that open. There are 2 tabs in the task bar 1 is called Crested 1 and the other is called Crested 2. they are exact copies. When I update either one the other gets updated as well. When I close either one they both close. but there is only 1 filed saved to the hard drive. This file resides on a file server and is used by a few different people as well. No one knows whats going on and I can't find any help online for this problem. Sounds like a mirrored copy is going on but have know idea. I would prefer that it wouldn't do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello!

Someone probably opened a new window from the workbook and then saved it. Try closing one of the windows by clicking the inner X (not the one in the title bar, the one that is to the right of the menu bar), then save and close the workbook. You should now only have one window when you open the workbook.

Let me know if this helps,

Ax
