Let me investigate a bit more for you.



How about setting the program executable itself to always run in the adminstrator mode. Lets try that. Instead of the desktop shortcut.

I have been having trouble with java! Finally found a solution: First I deleted older versions of java from the control panel(add-remove). Downloaded version 1.3.1_15 and also version 7-10. then enable your firewall.

Do yourself a favour srgolfer and edit your email address out of your post or you may find yourself being spammed to death by unscrupulous people who mine forums such as this for such information.

You would have to log in as srgolfr80 to do that. Not to worry. I contacted a moderator to do it for you.

Never post your email address in an open forum like this for security reasons.

the Compatibility settings in this attached pictures worked perfectly for me.

*  one is to enable Java Plugin launching and

*  the other is to enable Java Control Panel  (or  Configure Java )

the folder path of java is shown in 3rd picture
