I am having problems installing window updates (using XP with SP3)on my PC. Can download OK from Windows Update site OK but then the downloads wont install, and I have no idea why. Does anyone have any thoughts.

Give this a try: How to troubleshoot common Windows Update, Microsoft Update, and Windows Server Update Services installation issues
Run the FixIt that pops up, see if that helps.

Hi
Many thanks. I downloaded .Net Framework 4 didn't work (updates) then I downloaded .Net Framework2 then did the fix, and all updates worked like a dream.
Do I need .Net Framework 4 or can this be deleted,
