User names on a network

If I have two computers running xp home edition and I want to network them through a router do I have to have the same user names on both of them or can I have things like Martin on one and David on another. Thanks in advance.

All they have to have is the same workgroup name.

......MSHOME (workgroupname can be whatever you want)
