Help! Norton keeps telling me that a file is infected, but can't get rid of it. I've blocked everything that looks suspicious through my Sygate firewall. I've run AdAware. My log looks like this:

Hello Max, welcome to Geeks to Go! <_<

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu).

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. :D

I've tried getting rid of msnplus several times, but it's still there. Give it to me straight, doc. Is this bad?

Thanks again!

I may have gotten too aggresive here in removal. <_< I didn't recognize the MSNPlus entries, but it appears this may be legitimate. Is this something you've installed? (MSNPlus for MSN Messenger). There's likely an option to remove under add/remove programs if you choose to remove.
