I'm thinking about buying a domain name but i want to make sure i'm actually getting that domain name. What confuses me is that when I type in:
www.domainname.com, the page comes up and the url changes go ww43.domainname.com. Can someone tell me why this is happening? Am i being redirected? I don't want to end up buying a ww43 domain. Thanks.

The actual domain name does not have the named servers pointing to it since it is not actually listed anywhere. All you can do is check that it is available for purchase. Pick a good hosting service and they may have a free domain name for a year depending on the package you accept.
